A message from the dance-tech moderator: I've been struggling this morning with conflicted thoughts and emotions about discussion on the dance-tech list of the recent attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon. Right or wrong, I started the ball rolling by forwarding yesterday's message, and based on the responses I have received, it is clear to me that we are a very diverse group with equally diverse opinions. I have never wanted to be the dance-tech censor, only the moderator, and while I am uncomfortable with some of the opinions I have received, I am more uncomfortable with the idea of silencing them. Because I believe discussion is healthy, and I believe we can benefit as a community from expressing our thoughts, I have decided to temporarily open the dance-tech list to the discussion of these recent events. I will forward related messages through this coming week, but on Sunday, September 23rd, I will revert to my previous policy of allowing only dance-technology related posts to this list. Like mine, many feelings are very strong, but please try to keep the discussion constructive. I reserve the right to deny any message that I feel crosses this line, and if necessary to revert early to full moderation. Anyone who wishes to suspend their subscription to the dance-tech list should contact me directly at scott@scottsutherland.com. I will unsubscribe you immediately and resubscribe you on the 23rd. Sincerely, Scott Sutherland dance-tech administrator/moderator
