Chichester, England.

College Chichester.

This performance/multimedia workshop offers a laboratory for the organic
integration of performance and digital arts, and for the development of new
interdisciplinary methods of composition. The lab is designed to provide
performing artists, composers, and visual artists interested in exploring
the dialogue between performance and technology the opportunity to workshop
their ideas in situ under the guidance of experts.

The lab is offered as a 12-day intensive workshop (Monday - Saturday over
two weeks) and is open to participants from all visual and performing arts
areas.

The particular focus of the lab is on:
inter-activity (design, live/virtual interfaces, MIDI activity, real-time
interactive events)
installation and display techniques of performance/digital media-works.

The workshop will focus on experimentation around technologically mediated
spatial and temporal relations between the live and virtual performer, and
between live performer and visual or sonic images. Workshop participants
will have access to the university media centre, and rehearsal and studio
facilities equipped with the technical/electronic equipment necessary for
the development of interactive work. Participants will also be given the
opportunity to showcase their works-in-progress during the Chichester Fringe
Festival.

Campus accommodation available to participants. (£36 pn appr.)
Course fee £300

Applications for participation in this exciting artists lab are invited from
individuals and teams of participants who would like an intensive period of
exploration in this new artistic arena. Letters of application should
