don't have any experience with using specialist contact/medical mics 
to pick up body sounds (depends on what body sounds you want). 
However if you use any form of omnidirectional mic, either head-worn 
or a lavalier otherwise attached to the body, that will pick up 
external sounds of the body well.  Some people tape tiny lav mics at 
the top of the hairline (to make it as invisible as possible), but if 
clothes are worn, they can be hidden pretty much anywhere.

The best wireless systems seem to be AKG, Samson, Sennheiser, and 
Audio-Technica, but there are loads of them out there at all price 
ranges.  From a practical perspective, if you're working in a 
theatrical situation, I would recommend a FULL DIVERSITY system 
rather than a single channel system, and, if you can afford it, a UHF 
system rather than a VHF system.
