Hello, I'd like to recommend Pauline Oliveros' Deep Listening Institute for dancers and musicians that are interested in widening their appreciation of the world of sound. http://www.deeplistening.org/training/retreat.html We have found many of the approaches and philosophies important in helping dancers involved in interactive movement systems conceive of their movement *as* sound; to connect to the notion of a "sonic body," and to conceive of themselves as musicians through their performance. Tomie Hahn will lead the second workshop in the Institute with "interface," our interactive performance group, in residence. (http://www.interfaceimprov.net) -Curtis Bahn
